On August 6, 2026, in Hanoi, Petrovietnam Drilling and Well Services Corporation (PV Drilling; Stock Code: PVD) was officially honored in the Top 50 Prestigious and Effective Public Companies (VIX50) in 2026, organized by Vietnam Report in collaboration with Vietnamnet. This recognition highlights PV Drilling’s outstanding achievements in financial capacity, corporate governance, and market reputation.

VIX50 is an annual ranking by Vietnam Report celebrating top-performing and most reputable public companies in Vietnam, based on two core criteria: financial capacity over the last three years and media reputation assessed via the Media Coding method.

According to Vietnam Report, financial capacity is evaluated through key metrics such as market capitalization, revenue, net profit, compound annual growth rate (CAGR), and return on equity (ROE). PV Drilling recorded impressive results by maintaining continuous growth in revenue and profit throughout the 2023–2025 period, reflecting a strong recovery after a challenging phase for the oil and gas drilling industry. PV Drilling currently holds total assets exceeding USD 1 billion.

Hand-in-hand with business performance, PV Drilling continuously invests in expanding its asset capacity to lay the foundation for long-term growth. During the 2024–2026 period, the Corporation added 3 modern jack-up rigs and aims to invest in 1-2 additional rigs between 2026 and 2030 to meet the rising demands of the regional market.

Beyond financial performance and transparent, modern governance, PV Drilling also excels in media reputation—a key criterion in the VIX50 ranking evaluated through Media Coding.

Corporate reputation is built on information transparency, stable and efficient operations, and meaningful community contributions. Alongside sustaining operational efficiency, PV Drilling actively executes corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, such as sponsoring STEM classrooms, Great Unity houses, educational support, and local community development. These initiatives reinforce a sustainable corporate image, harmonizing business goals with social responsibility, thereby building strong trust among investors, partners, and the community.

A key highlight of PV Drilling is its well-structured and effective international expansion strategy. Starting with onshore drilling services in Algeria in 2007, the Corporation pioneered bringing offshore rigs to the Southeast Asian market in 2016 and has continuously expanded its presence. Today, PV Drilling holds a significant market share in Brunei, Malaysia, and Indonesia, trailing only local drilling contractors.

Continuously enhancing competitiveness and maintaining stable operations in international markets with stringent safety, technical, and governance standards demonstrates PV Drilling’s management capabilities, international-standard service quality, and ability to satisfy strict global client requirements.

Being honored in the Top 50 Prestigious and Effective Public Companies in 2026 for the first time not only acknowledges PV Drilling’s remarkable results in financial capacity, asset value, transparent governance, sustainable development, and media reputation, but also reaffirms the increasingly solid standing of the Vietnamese drilling contractor in both domestic and regional markets.

After 25 years of growth and development, PV Drilling now owns 8 modern offshore rigs, along with synchronized infrastructure and nearly 2,000 highly qualified employees. Including joint ventures and affiliates, PV Drilling’s total workforce exceeds 2,800 people, excluding local personnel currently working on rigs in Brunei, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
