The signing ceremony was attended by senior leaders from Petrovietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP), PVEP-Cuu Long Operating Branch, PV Drilling, and representatives from partner Borr Drilling.
Under the contract, the drilling program consists of two wells with a total duration of approximately 104 days, scheduled to commence in July 2026 at Block 15-1 (Su Tu field cluster). To execute this campaign, PV Drilling has arranged the jack-up rig THOR from its partner Borr Drilling, ensuring the provision of integrated drilling services that meet the client's technical requirements and timeline.

Speaking at the ceremony, PV Drilling’s leadership committed to executing the campaign with criteria of safety, efficiency, and cost optimization, ensuring the completion of both wells on schedule and meeting client expectations. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong also highlighted the track record of the rig THOR in the Vietnamese market, having successfully completed numerous drilling campaigns for various clients, including PVEP.
On the side of PVEP-Cuu Long, the representative highly appreciated PV Drilling’s capability, experience, and professionalism. He expressed confidence that with close coordination between all parties, especially the management and operation teams of the rig THOR, the drilling campaign at Block 15-1 would achieve high efficiency, significantly contributing to the production growth plans of PVEP as well as the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam).

The signing of the contract for the second jack-up rig for PVEP-Cuu Long in early Q2/2026 once again reaffirms PV Drilling's pivotal role in ensuring rig supply for the domestic market, playing a vital part in maintaining and enhancing national energy security.
