On the morning of May 5, 2026, in Ho Chi Minh City, PetroVietnam Drilling & Well Services Corporation (PV Drilling) officially signed a contract to provide a jack-up rig for Zarubezhneft EP Vietnam B.V.’s development drilling campaign at Block 12/11, offshore Vietnam.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior executives from Zarubezhneft EP Vietnam B.V., PV Drilling, and partner representatives.
Under the signed agreement, PV Drilling will mobilize a partner’s jack-up rig to execute the drilling program at the Thien Nga – Hai Au field, Block 12/11.
Being repeatedly trusted by Zarubezhneft EP Vietnam B.V. is a clear testament to PV Drilling’s technical expertise, service quality, and reputation in the field of drilling rig provision and well technical services. Furthermore, this contract strengthens the sustainable partnership between the two sides, opening up more collaboration opportunities in the future.
In the context of a recovering drilling market, besides deploying its owned rigs in Malaysia, Brunei, and Indonesia, PV Drilling continues to play a vital role in securing rig supply for most oil and gas operators in Vietnam, meeting stringent requirements with high standards of safety and efficiency.
Under the signed agreement, PV Drilling will mobilize a partner’s jack-up rig to execute the drilling program at the Thien Nga – Hai Au field, Block 12/11.
The contract is expected to last 160 days, with the campaign scheduled to commence in October 2026. This is a key project contributing to the field development progress of the operator, Zarubezhneft EP Vietnam B.V., in the Vietnamese market.
